| Some guy named Carly in California apparently has paid for a rather weird T.V. ad... |

Carly is the ex-head of Hewlett-Packard. She is running for Barbara Boxer's senate seat, Tom Campbell is her primary opponent.
She had enough moxie to become H-P's head honcho, but she was fired. I'm not sure if that makes a stronger case or weaker case, given that info. Her career at H-P was interesting, to say the least.

Already there is a critique video. In which Hitler is informed of the results of the "demonsheep" ad.
Tim Burton said it was too weird.
Personally, I think Chuck DeVore is a better choice. _________________ The future ain't what it used to be. (Yogi Berra) |

It's truly weird, too arty. It would still influence me positively. It had a lot of concrete content.
To me, the sheep on the pedestal was the least of it (but maybe because I knew it was coming). The continual flashes from Campbell's face to a pig and then to a sheep (wtf?), and the repeated misunderstanding of what the word "literal" means:
"literally set the stage" for California's deficit
"literally put California on the path"
grated on me.
She needs a new ad agency, and someone to tell her, never put your name on something like this again.
She also needs someone to tell her: it's not enough to tell us Campbell is bad. You have to explain why you're better.
But this wouldn't turn me off to her permanently. It's an artistic mess, but Campbell does sound like a fiscal mess. _________________ "You know who else is on vacation, president Barack Obama. I was rolling on the floor. I think the ad will work brilliantly here. _________________ Treason doth never prosper: what's the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason.
